Happy 4th of July - 2020 Style

Food, Fun, Family and Friends! Isn’t that how you celebrate Independence Day? 2020 Style means there wasn’t a lot of “family and friends,” at least not in person, but we still felt plenty of love from them anyway.

Food:

Breakfast wasn’t terribly exciting, but it was my choice, and we did finish our three-day pancake experiment.

Lunch was part of our “fun” – see below.

Dinner was leftover Firecracker Chicken; I thought that was quite appropriate.

Finally, we finished our celebrating with a very delicious Raspberry Fudge Ice Cream Birthday Cake (a combination of these recipes – cake, ice cream, hot fudge).

Fun:

Our Saturday activity was a visit to a local city park. It didn’t have a lot of visitors – a couple of dog-walkers and a single basketball player – so we were able to keep our social distance just fine. After walking around the park, we relaxed and read before enjoying our barbecue.

 Family and Friends:

We returned home to a fun surprise left on the garage door. Plus, we had lots of phone and video calls. Thank you, everyone! We hope each of you had a wonderful holiday as well.
