Cataratas del Iguazú

Flashback Friday
National Park Series #??

It's Friday, which means it's time to spotlight another national park vacation. However, this week we're just going back in time a week or two, and it's not a U.S. national park. Yes, Argentina has national parks as well, and of course Wayne the adventurer likes to take advantage of all opportunities to go hiking and exploring.

This map shows the four trails we took: the Upper Circuit (orange), the Lower Circuit (blue), the walkway to Devil's Throat (pink), and the Macuco Trail (yellow-green) - plus the one we couldn't take. (The river level was too high so the ferry to the San Martin Island trail wasn't operating.)The Upper Circuit's incredible views:

The Lower Circuit's incredible views:Getting sopping wet - the falls landed just inches from the end of the boardwalk: Amazing Devil's Throat: And the trail through the jungle to another beautiful waterfall:

This was just one day of our vacation, but it was a wonderful start. Stay tuned for more pictures as I get around to organizing them.
