Update on our Missionary

Elder Whitaker sent us some pictures. The first two were taken at the baptism of Wilma and Lucía.

The next two would be from preparation day activities, including another trip to Iguazú Falls.

One of our family challenges is to look for the miracles that occur daily. Here's what Brad noticed last week:

"This past Sunday was an up-down day. I woke up to a very rainy day. We still went to church. However, several members here think that rain is a valid excuse not to come to church. Actually, I shouldn't be too hard on them, because for some people, that really is a valid excuse. But not for everybody. So, on rainy days, church attendance is severed by 70%. Learning that was the down part of the day. The up part is that 30% of the normal attendance members DID come to church, in spite of the rain. Those members do have faith. Speaking of faith, I had to go to church fairly early for a meeting, and as a result I made an interesting observation. Church starts at 9:00. It was raining very hard the whole day except from 8:20 to 8:55. That would have given just about every family that did not come just enough time TO come if they had prepared with faith. I hope silly things like water don't influence you to break your covenants. Sometimes you just have to look at the rain in the eye and say, "I don't care what you say, I AM going to church!" Let's have faith like the 30%."

Wow, times flies. I remember when he came out here for Thanksgiving with Eric. They were up on Donnor Pass and had to put chains on the tires. The boys' hands were all too big, so Teresa did it. :) At least she learned how!

Sounds like he is having a great mission! That's wonderful!
